陈步雷，男，1967年出生，汉族，安徽灵璧人。现为中国劳动关系学院副教授、中国人民大学劳动关系研究所研究员、北京恒泰信和律师事务所兼职律师。北京大学法学院法学学士（1990）、硕士（1997）和博士（2000）。现在中国人民大学应用经济学博士后流动站做研究。曾经在地方公安机关、国家权力机关和审判机关工作共6年。对于中国现行体制具有内部人视角。从2001年底至今，在中国劳动关系学院任教，主要讲授法理学、社会法理论、西方法律思想史、民法学等课程。在中国人民大学劳动人事学院讲授劳动关系学、劳动法学等课程。在法理学、社会法学、劳动关系学、劳动法学等学科领域发表过论文数十篇。现正参加国家社科重点课题一项、一般课题两项。曾于2005年应邀到美国哥伦比亚大学法学院、纽约大学法学院作学术访问。

1.Chen founded the Legal-aid Association of Peking University, a famous NGO in China, and was the first director of the association in 1995-1996.

2. Chen has handled 100 cases and many other legal affairs. As a famous lawyer, his record was reported by the People Daily, China daily(English),Legal Daily, South Weekly. He offered many legal aid to workers and farmers.
